About me!

I have been writing since I was 12, when I first read “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings.” I was enthralled by the thought of being able to create my own world in writing. I still am.

My first book, Tao of Thoreau, combines two great philosophies to be a guide to practical spiritual wisdom.

I have taught English at the middle and high school level for 28 years. I have been playing Ultimate Frisbee since 1988, and I am proud to have qualified for the National Championships 4 times. Ultimate shares my values of fair, honest competition, where players strive for victory while maintaining respect for the game and for each other.

I am married to Patty Krawiec Bozeman, who I dedicated Self of Steam to. She believed in my poetry before I did, which I will always be thankful for.

Together, we are madly in love with our dog Anna.

I have recently been published in the best-selling poetry anthology Hidden in Childhood.
