The peak of family and friendship

For this weeks #SundayStills photo challenge, the prompt is #peek-a-boo. It does give the option to use peak, so I went with this picture of our niece and her fiancé at the peak of a local hill. Also, this is a peek into the life of my wife and I, as we develop a growing friendship with this wonderful couple. We’re looking forward to another visit this weekend.

This challenge lasts all week. If you want to join, check it out here.

#sundaystills photo challenge: “I’d rather be…”

I have to say that I am a fortunate person, and am usually happy doing whatever I’m doing in the moment. But if I had to choose something “I’d rather be” doing, certainly performing in front of an audience is high on the list. In this case, performing in front of a GIANT picture of myself!

Sometimes you have to take a video

I’m a big proponent of being in the moment. I often resist the urge to take a picture or a video so I can focus on appreciating what is in front of me.

But there are times when I feel the need to record the moment and share it. After taking in the scene above, I had to take out my camera. It was just too beautiful.

Woven Forest

I’m always trying to capture the way snowy branches look woven together. This picture does a decent job of capturing this.

I love the way snow turns the winter forest into a black and white landscape. This beauty is so wonderfully contrasting to the colorful loveliness of spring, summer and fall. Snow takes away the starkness of winter, giving brightness to the otherwise dulled colors.

Also, Anna is a cutie pie.
